This was a fun project that sparked from a spontaneous late-night conversation with a friend. As I rambled on about these animal characters in a gang, giving them each intricate backstories, it felt like the stories were practically writing themselves. The more I talked, the more alive they became in my mind, until suddenly, the “S9 Outlaws” were born. Each character in the crew is like a reflection of a different facet of my personality. Tank embodies my drive and ambition, constantly striving for success and financial gain, earning him the moniker “The Bank” within the crew. Trunks, with his imposing presence and commanding demeanor, represents the strength and authority I sometimes wish I had, earning him the feared title of “The Enforcer.” At the helm of it all is Snort, the leader and mastermind, I stive to be daily, behind the crew’s operations. Like the head of a lion in the animal kingdom, he rules with a firm but fair hand, earning the respect and loyalty of his comrades as “The Boss.” On the flip side, there’s Rexx, the carefree spirit who embodies my desire to live life in the moment and march to the beat of my own drum. His nickname, “The Simpleton,” reflects his laid-back approach to life, where joy is found in the simplest pleasures. And then there’s Otto, the mysterious and enigmatic member of the crew. With his guarded nature and selective trust, he moves like a shadow in the night, earning him the fitting title of “The Shadow.” He serves as a reminder of my own inclination towards privacy and caution when it comes to letting others in. Together, these characters form a colorful and dynamic crew, each bringing their own unique strengths and quirks to the table. And as their creator, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride in bringing them to life, even if it was all just a product of a random late-night conversation.
